I enjoy how things evolve in this movie. When you think you know, maybe you don't, maybe you do.
For me it's a great movie. No error in the casting, no problem with the story. On the contrary, it's well filmed, and overall very well done. Times of horror the Wars its always Darknes. Sometimes ya just need a paycheck. Brenton is beautiful.

 

Is it a war film, a horror film, a supernatural film, mystery film, a time travel film or a comedy? You decide but suffice to say they were dead all the time. Beautiful didaster. I love it. For the first 30 sec, i thought there was something wrong with my speakers so i turned it all the way up. it still wasnt loud enough. I think we all lose perspective when speaking of our personal tastes from time too time. Im in too everything from hatebreed and slipknot through too Beethoven myself (moonlight sonata is especially good. Different songs speak too different emotions, if we all liked the same hundred song our species would be very boring indeed. On another note it was nice too see a mature response. Very refreshing given the drivel some people say on here the moment others disagree with them.

Every reflection dies. Id give this one 5 stars, 3 minimal. Im not usually a fan of horror or thriller movies, but Id label this more as a psychological thriller; it completely messes with your head. Plus I was already familiar with two of the actors, so to see them go into this darker role was different. Id say this movie is not for the faint of heart. Not everyone is going to be comfortable with the overall message. Besides that, I absolutely loved it. Best Slayer cover ever! Even though i'm a huge Slayer fan I have to admit I like this version better than the original.

Based on this trailer. horrible, just plain horrible. Their guitar riffs and drums are awesome, the vocalist is trying to hard... Whoever cast this movie should be barred from casting forever. The cast are meant to be soldiers but are so low T it hurts. It's okay but doesnt come close to slayer in my opinion. Oh dear. More people would have watched this movie without this trailer. It makes it look terrible. Possible tiny spoiler Good acting well above the average on all for the movie.
Appreciate what I was trying to do.
But tired of that ending, wish it would show an ending were the really bad guys experience horror.

Hollywood is preparing the mindset to ww3. Ghosts of War started out great. It felt like it could be the prefect combination of Band of Brothers and House on Haunted Hill. The premise is simple: U.S. World War 2 soldiers ordered to hold down a strategic location in France, which happens to be a haunted chateau where Nazi soldiers previously committed horrible crimes. I really had high hopes for this film but as it progressed those hopes diminished. The setting is great and the film relies on appropriately creepy atmospheric tension. I mean they're in a really big creepy castle full of strange occurrences. Whats not to like about that? On top of that, the main cast of soldiers were likable. I enjoyed seeing Theo Rossi, who you might recognize as Shades from Marvel Studios/Netflix' Luke Cage series. Alan Ritchson, Brenton Thwaites, and Kyle Gallner, my favorite of the group who played U.S. army sniper Tappert, where all very good.
Unfortunately. and this is a big huge deal-breaker for me, the ending did not live up to the rest of the film. This is me being nice about it. To be honest it infuriated me. It made me feel like I wasted 1hr and 34 minutes getting invested in this story which suddenly transformed into something that I was not expecting nor wanted. All they had to do is stick with the theme of WW2 soldiers stuck in a haunted house during war. That's it. How they managed to ruin the last part of this film defies logic. Someone should be fired over this horrendous decision. I want to recommend it based on how good most of the film was, but the ending completely destroyed my recommendation. Yes, it's THAT BAD.
